Black & Red Club Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator (“PC”) serves as the primary liaison between a Wolverine sports program (e.g., girls’ soccer, boys’ tennis, field hockey) and the Black & Red Club (the “Club”). The PC reports to the President of the Club. The PC’s responsibilities may include the following:

  1. Working and communicating with the Club for assistance – both financial and student volunteer – in achieving the relevant athletic program’s goals, which may include: increasing awareness of the sport / attendance at games; building team spirit through pre-season BBQs and post-season celebrations; arranging for rooters buses; and reimbursement of team meals.

  2. Assisting head coaches at all levels of the relevant athletic program (e.g., boys’ basketball coaches for each of the 7th grade, 8th grade, freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity teams) in selecting Team Parents.

  3. Advising Team Parents of: (i) their responsibilities; (ii) the relevant athletic program’s goals; and (iii) the Club’s role in assisting all Wolverine athletic programs.

  4. Assisting Team Parents in submitting requests for reimbursements of “qualified expenses” to Allan Weaver. [A “qualified expense” is an expense that improves our student athletes’ experiences while participating in Wolverine sports. Whether an expense is “qualified”, and to what extent a “qualified expense” shall be reimbursed, shall be determined by the Club’s Board.]

  5. Attending any of the Club’s monthly meetings to make a special request, seek clarification on the Club’s policy and procedures, etc.
