
Harvard-Westlake is an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school for grades 7-12. The Middle School Campus (grades 7-9) is located at 700 N. Faring Road in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles, and the Upper School Campus (grades 10-12) is located at 3700 Coldwater Canyon Road in Studio City.

HW students represent 194 different sending schools. They commute from all parts of the Greater Los Angeles area including Oak Park and Agoura to the west, Valencia and Simi Valley to the north, Arcadia and San Marino to the east, and Manhattan Beach and Hawthorne to the south. National Merit Recognition
Harvard–Westlake ranks among the top high schools in the country in number of National Merit Semifinalists. Of the 282 graduates in the class of 2007, 118 students received National Merit Recognition, with 47 students as National Merit Semifinalists.
Advancement Placement
In 2007, 514 Harvard–Westlake students took 1,678 AP tests in 31 different subjects, and 91% scored 3 or higher.
In addition, Harvard-Westlake was officially recognized by the Advanced Placement program in its Report to the Nation in 2006 and 2007, as one of the top high schools in the "world in helping the widest segments of their total school population achieve an exam grade of 3 or higher" in the following exams: AP Calculus AB, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics B, and AP Spanish Literature.
