Harvard-Westlake School is an independent coeducational college preparatory day school, grades 7-12. It is the result of a merger between Harvard School, founded in 1900, and Westlake School for Girls, established in 1904. Coeducation began in September of 1991.

Financial Aid
A total of just over $7.8 million is allotted for aid in 2011-2012. With one of the largest secondary day school financial aid budgets in the country, Harvard-Westlake commits approximately 12% of the school’s entire operating budget to provide assistance to 274 students, a figure that Harvard-Westlake is committed to expanding in future years.
