This course is a continuation of French IA with equal
emphasis on all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and
writing. Material covered includes colloquial expressions and their usage
as well as fundamental concepts and grammatical structures such as the
present of regular and irregular verbs, the near future, direct and indirect
object pronouns, the command form, and the introduction of the past tense.
The material is pertinent to French culture. Classes are conducted mainly
in French. Written and oral compositions are assigned. The use of CDs
at home is an integral part of the course.
