Teacher Profiles
Adia Armstrong Adia Armstrong participated in Track and Field and graduated with a degree in Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. She began teaching at Harvard-Westlake in September of 2007.  Adia is the Middle School Track and Field coach and High School Girls Cross Country assistant coach.  She is married and has two young children.  
Federico Arroyo graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and an emphasis in secondary physical education. Freddy began teaching at Harvard-Westlake Middle School in November of 2000 and coaches the boys varsity soccer team.  

Darlene Bible graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge and began teaching in 1979 at the Westlake School for Girls. She teaches swimming to the seventh grade. Darlene is the Athletic Director in charge of operations and coaches middle school swimming and junior varsity and varsity girls swimming.

 
Steven Chen graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in adapted physical education. Steven began his teaching career at John Thomas Dye School in 1996. He came to Harvard Westlake in 2001. Steven coaches junior varsity and varsity boys and girls volleyball teams.  

Kimberley Hieatt graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1974 with a masters degree in Physical Education. She serves as our department chair and coaches girls junior varsity and varsity cross country and middle school golf. Kim began teaching at Westlake School for Girls in 1975 and remained at the middle school when Westlake and Harvard merged.

 

Jonas Koolsbergen graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Political Science. He began coaching at Harvard School for Boys in 1984 and became a full-time faculty member (history) at the merger in 1991. Jonas began teaching physical education at Harvard-Westlake in 1996. He coaches the upper school track and field teams for both boys and girls.

 

Lew Roberts graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Physical Education. He began teaching physical education at Harvard School for Boys in 1980 and moved to the middle school during the Harvard and Westlake 1991 merger. Lew coaches middle school softball and seventh grade tackle football..

 
Jade Molina has over 12 years experience in the field of performance enhancement and strength and conditioning training: First, as Director of Physical Readiness Training while serving in the United States Navy; Second, as an All-Navy second baseman and assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 1993 to 1997 Navy Baseball Club; Third, as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the California State University, Bakersfield Women's Basketball team and today as a highly sought after performance coach and consultant. Jade currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the National Academy of Sports M ed icine (NASM) and is the Sport Performance representative on the Certification Governing Counsel for the NASM. Jade has had the privilege of working with some of the top athletes in the NFL, Major League Baseball and NBA, as well as serving as an international lecturer and consultant for the Guatemalan National Sports Federation and Polish Olympic Committee.
