Mr. Maddock's Advanced Placement United States History

The Advanced Placement version of the United States History course prepares students for the Advanced Placement examination in American History. As stated by the College Board, "the Advanced Placement Program in United States History is designed to provide students with the analytic skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal critically with the problems and materials in American History. The program prepares students for intermediate and advanced college courses by making demands upon them equivalent to those made by introductory college courses.

In addition to essential primary and factual information, this course also seeks to acquaint students with a variety of scholarly interpretations of major historical issues. Prerequisite: B+ or higher in The World and Europe II or The History and Art of Modern Europe and the World and permission of the department. History
