Algebra 2: The Fundamentals

This course reviews and extends the fundamental principles and skills of algebra and geometry.

  • Topics included are variations, relations and functions, sequences; polynomials, especially linear and quadratic functions; systems of equations; roots; exponents; and logarithms.
  • Emphasis is placed on understanding key mathematical ideas and applying them to problem solving.
  • The graphing calculator, TI-84 Plus, will be used throughout the course, but should not be relied upon for simple arithmetic calculations.
