narrative / Week 1: Jan. 25-27 (3-day week) Review second semester outline. Review process of exporting a movie. Students revise projects and export as movies and delete source files. Output to tape if desired. Start Media Literacy if all this is finished. __________________________________________________________________________ Week 2: Jan. 30-Feb. 3 Lecture/Demos: media literacy concepts, show examples of PSAs, parodies and manipulations Media Literacy Project Assigned (4 weeks): pick partners, begin planning Week 3: Feb. 6-10 Media Literacy Project Continuing: more planning, shooting Week 4: Feb. 13-17 Media Literacy Project Continuing: more shooting, capturing, start editing Week 5: Feb. 21-24 (4-day week) Media Literacy Project Continuing: finish editing, music, credits Project Due/Critique at end of week __________________________________________________________________________ Week 6: Feb. 27-Mar. 3 Lecture/Demo: storytelling, show examples of anecdotes Anecdote Project Assigned (phase one, 2 weeks): (solo) - students receive writing assignment, first draft due at end of week Week 7: Mar. 6-10 Anecdote Project Continuing: teacher meets with students individually to give feedback on first drafts. Students revise drafts.
