The U.S. Men's Water Polo Team, which includes Peter Hudnut '99, brought home a silver medal in the gold medal match Sunday against Hungary.
This is the first silver medal for the U.S. men's team since the 1988 Olympics. This was Hungary's third time in a row to win the Olympic gold.

The last time the U.S. Men's Water Polo Team advanced to the gold medal game in the Olympics was 1988. On Friday night, the team, which includes defender Peter Hudnut '99, beat Serbia 10-5 and will now play for the gold medal on Sunday against Hungary.

Alumna Dara Torres '85 has won three silver medals at the Olympic games held in Beijing. This is her fifth Olympics, and the fifth Olympics in which she's medaled.
Torres' second medal was in the women's 50m freestyle. She was only one one-hundredth of a second behind the gold medalist, Britta Steffan of Germany.
Her first and third silver medals in Beijing were for the 4x100m free relay and 4x100m medley relay, respectively.

Harvard-Westlake Assistant Track & Field Coach Félix Sánchez won a gold medal in the 400m hurdles during the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
He is a member of the Dominican Republic team, and is hoping for a second gold medal in Beijing, despite a foot injury. An Associated Press article about Sánchez can be found on the NBC Olympics website.
