Brought to Arizona in 2002, and coordinated by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, OneBookAZ for Kids is a program that brings communities together through literature. Beginning in April every year, this program encourages Arizona children to read the same book at the same time and participate in discussions and programs centered around that book. Read more by visiting the OneBookAZ for Kids website.
The book also won the Américas Award. You can read that story, posted on this site earlier in 2008, by clicking this link.
