Two Alumni Shapira and Rosoff Receive Honors
Julia Shapira ('04), a women's soccer standout at Brown University was named Second Team All-NEWISA. A two-time Honorable Mention All-Ivy honoree, Shapira was one of two Ivy players selected to either the First or Second Team. After Playing at the back for the majority of her career, including the first half of this season, Shapira was moved up to the midfield and immediately made an impact, scoring the first three goals of her career to finish third on the team in scoring with six points. During her career, Shapira played in 46 games, earning 37 starts, including all 34 over the past two seasons. Julia was also the team's captain.
Caryn Rosoff ('06) continued her outstanding career at Wash. U. this past year by receiving multiple honors. Caryn was named to the NSCAA/Adidas NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-America Second Team. In addition to this amazing accomplishment Caryn was also named the UAA Conference Player of the Year as well as being placed on the NSCAA All-Central Region Team. If these selections were not enough, Caryn was also named as a member of the Jewish Sports Review College All-America First Team.
After just two seasons with the Bears Rosoff already ranks eighth in Wash. U. school history in goals (22) and points (55) and led the UAA in points this last season.
