Varsity Girls Golf Team Concludes 2008 Season

The Wolverine Girls Golf Team journeyed to Oxnard CA for the CIF Sectional Finals held on Monday at River Ridge GC and ended their season with a 15th place finish overall.

Charlotte Abrams shot a well played 89 and team MVP Tiffany Yang followed with a 92. The ever improving

Melanie Borinstein put together a respectful 99 and teammates Emily Firestein and Jamie Kim, who celebrated her

16th birthday on the road with the team, rounded out the team's final standing with 108 and 116 respectively.

Co-Captain and senior Alex Green, played her last match shooting 118.

The team faced frigid morning conditions with winds coming off the ocean, which eventually subsided half-way thru

the 18 hole event, leaving cold fall weather for the duration.

Senior Charlotte Abrams also played her last match as a Wolverine and hopes to use her golfing talents to attend a top

college next year.
