About the Trip:

Would you love to ski and snowboard on the best slopes in California, meet new people, and hang out with your friends? If you're a mature and self-disciplined student in any grade come to the Mammoth Ski Trip, semester break (January 25-29) 2008. A student-run tradition at Harvard-Westlake, the trip is a great way to enjoy extreme sports, go to dinner with friends and enjoy one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in California. Students stay at the Mammoth Mountain Inn located at the bottom of the slopes and next to the main lodge for easy-mountain access and warm accomadations.

Departure, Friday January 25th: Upper School, North Driveway, Noon (all participants must arrive by 11:30 AM)

Return, Tuesday January 29th: Upper School, North Driveway, approximately 8:00 PM (please check Hotline for exact time)

Please read all of the documents and print out and turn in the mandatory ones (marked with *). All forms should be thoroughly read by both the student and his/her parents.

Mature, independent, responsible, self-disciplined students in all grade levels.

Where do I sign-up?
Print out the forms online and fill them out with your parents. Then turn them in to Ms. Costa at the Upper School bookstore or Ms. Cleveland at the Middle School bookstore.

Do I already have to know how to ski/snowboard to go on the trip?
No not at all. Although a lot of experienced skiers and boarders go on the trip to ride Mammoth’s rough terrain, Mammoth has plenty of gentle beginner slopes. Some beginner students decide to take private or group lessons at the Mammoth Ski School and others learn from friends.
