Students learn and practice the full cycle of black and white photography from camera basics and film development to darkroom printing. Dynamic principles of composition and photo design will be practiced in the studio and on field assignments and exercises. Advanced students may design their own activities, and a brief hands-on introduction to Photoshop and digital imaging will be included. This course uses a standard 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera with manual exposure controls and/or manual control options. Students may reserve a camera by calling Mr. LauGel at (310) 288-3330.
