Chris joined Harvard-Westlake as Head of Admission and Enrollment in 2023 and takes pride in welcoming each new class of Wolverines. During HW’s daily all-school community time, you won’t find him in his office — he’s busy sponsoring the student-led Sports Card Club.

His work in admission has spanned independent schools and college access, including helping students become the first in their families to attend and graduate from college. Chris earned his A.B. in Sociology from Harvard University and M.A. in Business Management from Wake Forest University.

Outside of work, he enjoys live music, trying new restaurants, and almost always ordering two desserts.

Nancy is a Los Angeles native and an alumna of the Westlake School for Girls. After earning a B.A. in English and French Literatures from Stanford University and an M.Ed. from UCLA, she returned to her alma mater in 1994, shortly after the merger, to teach Middle School English. During those years, Nancy wore many hats, also serving as a Middle School dean, faculty adviser to Student Council and the Asian American student affinity group, and a swim coach.

Nancy returned to Harvard-Westlake in 2012 and joined the Admission Office in 2013. She and her husband have three children, all Harvard-Westlake alumni. Outside of work, Nancy enjoys discovering new recipes, doting on her fur grandbaby (black cats are so adorable!), and browsing stationery stores.

Janine’s journey to Harvard-Westlake began in 2012 as a parent and she joined the Admission Office in 2015.  In addition to her work in the Admission Office, Janine previously served as Harvard-Westlake's first Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and is now the school’s first Assistant Head of School for Community and Belonging.  

Prior to Harvard-Westlake, she worked as a lawyer at several large law firms, served as Senior Advisor/Deputy Legal Counsel to former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, and taught several law school courses at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and Capital University Law School.  For the admission side of her work, Janine works closely with prospective families throughout the application process, conducts applicant interviews frequently, and sits on the school's admission committees.  

Janine's husband, Chris, is Chair of the Upper Schools Deans and they have two daughters, Taylor and Avery, 2018 and 2023 graduates of Harvard-Westlake.

Julia joined the Harvard-Westlake Admission Office in 2018. She grew up in Washington, DC (202 area code for life!), and attended the University of Michigan, where she earned her B.A. in psychology. She later returned to school at NYU, earning her M.S.W. in 2012.

Before joining Harvard-Westlake, Julia worked in hospitals and nonprofit organizations and was thrilled to return to the independent school community, having attended one herself. Her favorite part of working in admission is getting to know so many amazing students and, through the student ambassador program, continuing to work with them even after they’ve enrolled and completed the admission process. She especially enjoys seeing students grow and getting to know them in a different capacity once they become members of the Harvard-Westlake community. Julia lives in West Los Angeles with her husband and their three young children. Outside of work, she loves tackling the NYT crossword, traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants around town.

Veronica joined the Harvard-Westlake Admission Office in 2022 and loves getting to know students and families as they explore HW. You may spot her running around campus — quite literally — as an assistant coach for the Middle School Cross Country and Track and Field teams. She also co-leads HW’s Latinx Faculty and Staff Affinity Group.

A Los Angeles native, Veronica earned B.A.s in Psychology and Music from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she later spent three years working in Admissions and supporting first-year students. Outside of work, Veronica enjoys spending time with her partner and their dog, Sweet Pea, and she’s always happy to talk about music, running, dogs, and Legos.

Jessica joined the Harvard-Westlake Admission Office in 2022, eager to continue a career path where storytelling is at the heart of the work. With a B.A. in English from Spelman College and an M.A. in English Education from Columbia University Teachers College, Jessica began her career as a Language Arts teacher, helping young people discover their voices and realize that their stories mattered. Prior to HW, Jessica taught 5th grade Language Arts at The Center for Early Education and then served as the inaugural Assistant Director of Admissions and later as Director of Outreach and Inclusion at Geffen Academy at UCLA.

Today, Jessica is delighted to be part of the Harvard-Westlake Admission team, doing one of her favorite things: listening to and reading the beautiful, funny, thoughtful, and wonderfully individual stories applicants share about who they are. When she is not in her office, Jessica can be found planning the HW SLIDE LDP conference, co-leading the Harvard-Westlake Black Caucus, or taking a quiet break in one of her favorite places on campus (the library!) and leaving with stacks of books for herself and her three children.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys writing stories of her own, as she is a published children’s book author, traveling, gallery and museum hopping, and having fun with her children and husband.

Tracey began her Harvard-Westlake journey in 2015 as a parent and Admission volunteer before joining the Admission Office in 2022. As the proud parent of three Harvard-Westlake alumni, she has a deep and personal connection to the school and especially enjoys getting to know families and helping students find a place in the HW community where they can thrive.

Prior to her career in independent school admission, Tracey spent more than a decade working in client services in the advertising industry in Dallas and Los Angeles. She is a proud University of Illinois alum and grew up in the Midwest.

Outside of work, Tracey is an adventurer at heart and loves exploring through food, books, and travel. She’s always happy to swap recipes, talk about a memorable destination, or share what she’s currently reading.

Meaghan joined the Harvard-Westlake Admission Office in 2026, bringing a strong background in after-school education and a passion for creating welcoming and supportive experiences for students and their families. She especially enjoys getting to know families and helping them feel at home as they explore HW. Meaghan earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of San Francisco and her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota.

Outside of work, Meaghan is an enthusiastic college football fan and enjoys watching true-crime documentaries. She loves traveling, puzzles, and spending time at home with her fiancé and their three cats.

Maria joined Westlake School in 1989, before its merger with Harvard School, and has been part of the community ever since. Over the years, she has worn many hats and met countless wonderful students, families, and colleagues along the way. Today, Maria serves as the Admission Assistant and School Receptionist and is often one of the first friendly faces students and families see when they arrive on campus. You can usually find her in Booth Lobby, where she loves welcoming guests, meeting new students, and watching them grow as members of the HW community.

Outside of work, Maria is a big sports fan — especially baseball (go Dodgers!) — and an animal lover, particularly when it comes to dogs. She also loves to travel and is always happy to swap stories about her adventures.
