The HW Go! program takes students to countries recovering from conflict to create storytelling projects (video, photography, journalism). Students learn respectful, cross-cultural engagement as they interview living historians and craft stories to share with their community and beyond. HW Go! films have been screened in film festivals internationally. The program is a partnership of Harvard-Westlake and Peace Works Travel. It was created in 2013 by video teacher Cheri Gaulke, journalist Jeff MacIntyre, and PWT founder Alethea Paradis. Trips are now led by a variety of Harvard-Westlake teachers in the Visual Art Department and Kutler Center.
