I love this school’s challenging curriculum, the quality of its faculty, the trust the administrative team gives teachers to develop their own curriculum, the emphasis on community, its geographical location (I mean…look around!), and much more. However, what I most enjoy about working here is the students. They are the coolest, most intellectually curious, focused, and cooperative kids I have ever worked with. They are scholars among scholars who are genuine in their interests, go beyond what is expected of them, and push us all beyond where we have to go to where we could go. The saying “I teach tomorrow’s leaders” definitely takes on another dimension when you are a teacher at Harvard-Westlake.
