Take your training to the next level with the Harvard-Westlake Sports Performance Camp, designed to help athletes of all levels build strength, speed, and confidence. These after-camp clinics focus on long-term athletic development through safe, effective strength and conditioning methods that keep athletes healthy and performing at their best.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of movement and proper technique, progressing to advanced, sport-specific exercises that enhance power, agility, and endurance. Instruction covers all the building blocks of sports performance, including bodyweight movement, mobility, flexibility, core strength, resistance training, speed work, and running mechanics.
Ideal for athletes who want to improve performance or overall fitness, this camp takes place in Harvard-Westlake's state-of-the-art weight room under the guidance of knowledgeable coaches.
Looking for something to do after your class ends? Do you need to stay later while your parents work? Afternoon Camp is for you. This very casual program provides a safe place to hang out until 5:30 PM. We will show movies, play games, and offer other activities to help you chill in the afternoon.
AFTERNOON CAMP IS ONLY OFFERED TO THOSE WHO ARE ENROLLED IN PROGRAMS ON THE UPPER SCHOOL CAMPUS.
Led by Coach David Rebibo and the Harvard-Westlake Basketball coaching staff, this camp offers a week of high-level instruction and fun on the court. Campers will work on ball-handling, passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, footwork, man-to-man defense and offense, screens, cuts, and conditioning. Each day features dynamic warm-ups, skill-building drills, and fun contests, all designed to build confidence and improve performance. Players will also have the chance to learn from past and present Harvard-Westlake athletes—and may even experience a special guest appearance during the session! To ensure personalized instruction, enrollment is limited for a low coach-to-player ratio. Campers should come ready to play in proper athletic shoes and attire. No additional equipment is necessary.
Join Coach Tim Sharpe for a week of focused training for runners competing in 800 meters and longer distances, including cross country. This camp offers personalized attention and expert guidance using the latest techniques in training, race strategy, and performance philosophy.
Athletes will also gain insights into injury prevention, character development, and leadership skills, with a new focus this year on multi-sport training and cross-training principles.
Coach Sharpe has led HW athletes to eight CIF team championships, numerous state and national titles, and two national records.
Campers should wear running attire and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Experience the excitement of fencing this summer with the Harvard-Westlake Fencing Camp—a unique, weeklong program combining fun, fitness, and skill development. Campers will work with Coach Erika Velarde and learn the fundamentals of fencing, including footwork, fencing actions, and recreational bouting, while developing balance, coordination, concentration, and tactical awareness. In addition to technical training, participants will build teamwork, discipline, and confidence in a supportive and energetic environment. The camp features instruction from experienced coaches and the use of electronic scoring equipment. All fencing gear is provided. Campers should come dressed to be active, wearing comfortable athletic clothing and shoes.
Be part of history this summer as Harvard-Westlake launches its first-ever Girls Flag Football Camp! This brand-new program gives athletes of all levels the chance to experience one of the fastest-growing sports in a fun, supportive, and empowering environment. Campers will learn the fundamentals of flag football—passing, catching, route running, flag pulling, defensive positioning, and team strategy—through skill-building drills, competitions, and scrimmages. No prior experience required! Led by Harvard-Westlake's athletic staff and guest coaches, this camp is the perfect way to prepare for the launch of the Girls Flag Football program this fall. Campers should wear athletic clothing and cleats or athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. All other equipment will be provided.
Join Coach Jonas Koolsbergen, Harvard-Westlake's longtime Track & Field Head Coach, for a week dedicated to improving speed, quickness, and running mechanics for athletes in any sport. Campers will receive personalized instruction covering each phase of sprinting—starts, acceleration, and top-end speed—along with sample workouts, training progressions, stretching routines, and injury-prevention techniques. Ideal for all athletes looking to enhance performance, not just track runners. Campers should wear running attire and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Show your energy and creativity this summer at the Harvard-Westlake Spirit Camp, led by Program Head Amy Egbert. Perfect for students who love dance and cheer, this camp blends Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom, ballet, and tumbling into a fun, high-energy experience. Campers will learn six choreographed routines from top choreographers and take daily technique classes in multiple styles. Between sessions, there's time for games, teamwork, and creativity. Campers should come in dance clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle.
Join Coach Jelena Durisic and her experienced coaching staff for an exciting week of tennis at Harvard-Westlake. Coach Durisic—who has led the team to Mission League Championships and CIF-SS Finals—is joined by a team of former college and professional players. This camp focuses on skill development, singles and doubles strategies, movement and footwork, and match play. Campers will receive expert instruction in a supportive environment that promotes both improvement and enjoyment. Designed for intermediate and advanced-level players, campers should come dressed to play in tennis attire and shoes, and bring their own racquet, water bottle, and sunscreen.
Join one of the top robotics programs in Los Angeles for a week of innovation, engineering, and hands-on problem solving at the Harvard-Westlake VEX V5 Robotics Intensive. This camp is designed for students who plan to compete in the 2026–27 VEX V5 Robotics season or anyone eager to explore the exciting world of VEX robotics.
Throughout the week, campers will develop advanced design, building, and programming skills specifically tailored to the new VEX game, which will be revealed at VEX Worlds in May 2025. Working in teams, participants will analyze the new challenge, strategize effective solutions, and build a custom robot engineered to take on the competition.
Campers will learn to maximize robot efficiency through precision engineering, materials design (including custom polycarbonate components), and strategic gameplay. The week culminates in a friendly competition, where teams test their creations and showcase what they've learned.
Experience with VEX is helpful but not required—just bring curiosity and creativity! Harvard-Westlake Robotics is proud to be home to the 2024 VEX Robotics Middle School World Champions.

Dive into summer with the Harvard-Westlake Wolverine Swim Camp, held at the Copses Family Pool with Coach Jason Schwarz. This program is designed for intermediate and advanced swimmers looking to improve their race performance and technique.Campers will focus on all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, race pacing, and race strategy, with instruction informed by the latest in training science. Each day also includes dry-land exercises to strengthen the core and improve body alignment. Campers should bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles, sunscreen, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
Led by Coach Bo Hardt and his accomplished coaching staff, the Harvard-Westlake Boys Tennis Camp offers a week of elite instruction and competitive fun. Under Coach Hardt's leadership, the program has earned CIF Championships, State Regional titles, and national recognition as one of the country's premier programs. Campers will focus on skill development, singles and doubles strategies, movement and footwork, and match play, all within a supportive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment. Designed for intermediate and advanced players, campers should bring their own racquet, water bottle, and sunscreen, and come dressed in tennis attire and shoes.

Led by Coach Dameon Porter and his dedicated coaching staff, this camp provides hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of football within a fun, safe, and competitive environment.Campers will learn key skills including stance, start, leverage, blocking and tackling technique, throwing, catching, kicking, and running. While there is no full-speed contact, players will develop confidence and understanding through guided instruction and controlled drills. The program also includes basic strength training, speed, and conditioning, all vital to athletic success. Campers should wear athletic clothing and shoes; cleats are recommended but not required.

With a history that includes 17 league titles, 6 CIF Championships, and 6 State Titles (most recently in 2025), Harvard-Westlake Volleyball offers a tradition of excellence. Campers should come in athletic clothing, knee pads, and athletic shoes.
Join Coach Drew Jenkins and his staff for a week of skill development and competition at the Harvard-Westlake Lacrosse Camp.Campers will learn the core fundamentals—stick skills, dodging, shooting, team offense and defense, and transition play—through drills and scrimmages. Early sessions focus on individual technique, while later sessions apply those skills in team situations. Campers should wear athletic clothing and shoes and bring their own lacrosse stick and gear (equipment available for beginners if needed).
Join Coach Jonas Koolsbergen for a week of active learning and fun at the Harvard-Westlake Track & Field Camp. Campers will explore technique and training concepts across all events, learning by doing in a supportive, hands-on environment.Each day features drills, instruction, and friendly competition where athletes can apply their new skills in a meet-style setting. Campers should wear athletic clothing and running shoes and bring a water bottle. Cleats are not required.
Cool off this summer with the Harvard-Westlake Water Polo Camp, led by Coach Jack Grover and open to players of all experience level—no prior experience required!
Campers will learn the fundamentals of water polo, from passing and positioning to defensive and offensive strategy. Each day includes in-pool sessions, classroom concept reviews, and dry-land training to improve strength and understanding of the game.
Campers should bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles, sunscreen, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
Requirement: Campers must be able to swim two consecutive laps to participate.

The week concludes with “Softball Olympics Day,†where players showcase their progress in a fun, competitive format. Open to all skill levels. Campers should bring a glove, cleats (no metal), and athletic shoes, and come dressed to be active.

Join Coach Sue Hodgkins and the Harvard-Westlake experienced coaching staff for a fun and energetic week of field hockey skill-building and game play. From beginners to advanced players, campers will develop key techniques to meet your level—dribbling, stick handling, dodging, 3D skills, hitting, defensive skills, scoring, passing, and receiving—through small-group instruction and competitive play. Goalkeepers will receive specialized training, and the camp concludes with A Day of Games to compete for prizes. Campers should wear athletic clothing and cleats or athletic shoes for turf, and have field hockey shin guards, a mouth guard, and a field hockey stick (equipment available if needed).
Join Coach Richard Simms and the Harvard-Westlake coaching staff for a focused, high-level Girls Soccer Camp designed for intermediate to advanced players.With a low player-to-coach ratio, campers will receive individualized instruction in technical skill with the ball, confidence with the ball, combination play, tactical awareness, and dynamic motor skills. Additional sessions address mental preparation and physical conditioning. Coach Simms and his Varsity coaching staff, along with current HW players, provide mentorship and guidance throughout the week. Campers should bring tennis shoes for futsal, cleats for field work, and shin guards; size 5 soccer balls are provided but campers are encouraged to bring their own ball.
