What is HW4L or HW4L Campus?

As one of the community-building programs housed underneath the HW Works program, HW4L is an abbreviation for Harvard-Westlake for Life - the idea that once you're part of the HW community, you will have access to the support and resources of the alumni community for life.

This initiative is designed to connect alumni experts in their field with young alumni (HW4L) or current students (HW4L Campus) in a personal and intimate setting.  Each small-group gathering provides attendees with the opportunity to share experiences and insights, network, and celebrate HW's traditions and transformations. HW4Ls are hosted at a venue of the host’s choice (e.g., office, restaurant), and HW4L Campuses are hosted at the upper school campus. (They are currently hosted via Zoom.)

How do I volunteer as a host?

  • Review the HW4L Host Responsibilities.
  • Propose a date, time, location, and theme for your gathering by completing the HW4L Host Interest Form. (HW4Ls are currently hosted via an HW provided Zoom link.)
  • Once approved, your HW4L will be posted as an event on the HW Works platform, and young alumni will have an opportunity to register.
  • To volunteer for an HW4L Campus, please contact Veronica Kopelevich at vkopelevich@hw.com.
